2019 : Paul Lecoq joined Multiwave Metacrystal to bring a paradigm shift in crystals for PET scanners
2020 : Thanks to a partnership with Spain’s CSIC/UPV I3M laboratory in Valencia, 2 patents filed (achievement of a single pixel prototype for 100 ps resolution)
2021 : Third patent filed for a revolutionary metascintillator concept for improving both timing and spatial resolution of PET scanners
2022 : Two versions of 100 ps metascintillator pixels fully developed and tested in laboratory environment and two versions of 200 ps metascintillator.
2023 : R&D launched for a second generation of metascintillators targeting 50 ps
2024 : A consortium of ex-CERN physicists and a business developper, led by Prof. Paul Lecoq, took over a subsidiary of Multiwave Technologies AG renamed METACRYSTAL SA
